Manuel Rodrigues Centeio (53) of Brockton died August 4th in the Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital, Boston. He was the husband of Maria S. (Lopes Correia) Centeio.
He was born in Santa Catarina, Fogo, Cabo Verde son of the late Margarida Rodrigues Centeio and Pedro Centeio of Fogo, Cabo Verde. Manuel worked in the construction trade. He enjoyed listening to violin music and playing orin spades.
In addition to his wife and father he is survived by 3 brothers, Antonio, Joao R. and Francisco Centeio all of Brockton, 3 sisters, Antonia Silva, Adelina R. Centeio and Maria Isabel R. Centeio all of Brockton, also (the late Eugenio R. Centeio), many neices and nephews including Severa Fontes Centeio of Framingham, Maria Lopes, Jose Andrade, Alex Andrade and John Silva all of Brockton.
Funeral Services from the Home of Funerarias Multi Culturel 238 Court Street Brockton Thursday August 10th at 9 am. Followed by a Mass in St. Edith Stein Church, Brockton at 10 am. Burial will follow in Melrose Cemetery. Visitation Wednesday August 9th from 5-9 pm.
