Obituary

Raymond M. Thibodeau, 89, formerly of Fort Myers, FL, passed away Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at the Arbors in Bedford, NH. He was born on July 24, 1928 in Lowell, MA a son of the late Ovila and Mary (Bergeron) Thibodeau. Raymond selflessly served his country in the US Army during the Korean Conflict where he was severely wounded. Upon his discharge from the military, Ray received a Purple Heart in recognition of his brave service. He then began working for and later retired from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. He was a member of the Chanteclerc Club, the Pawtucketville Social Club and the former Fleur de Lis Club “just to be socialable”. He was also a member of the American Legion. Ray was an avid golfer and enjoyed bowling. He will be remembered for his wonderful personality, his sense of humor and a life well lived.

He is survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews including his primary caregivers for several years, Jerry Dussault and his wife Jodi of Manchester and John Dussault and his wife Kathy of Weare, as well as their children, Eric, Molly, Jacquelyn and Jennah. Ray was predeceased by all ten of his brothers and sisters.

Following cremation, memorial calling hours were held on Wednesday, August 9, 2017 from 4 -6pm in the Peabody Funeral homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Road, Londonderry. A celebration of life began at 6:00pm in the funeral home.
