Obituary

Irene A. (Ravinski) Kazuschyk, 95, of Franklin died suddenly, July 31 following a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Edmund Kazuschyk who died in 2002.

Born in Norwood, June 28, 1922, the daughter of the late Felix and Frances (Lubinski) Ravinski, Irene was raised in Norfolk and had lived in Franklin for the past 65 years.

She was a graduate of Walpole High School.

Irene enjoyed braiding rugs, gardening, mushroom foraging, and playing scrabble, however, she most enjoyed spending time with her beloved family.

She is survived by her children, Mary Ellen Lyons and her husband Daniel of Franklin, Christine McKinnon and her husband Michael of Plainville, John E. Kazuschyk of Franklin and James F. Kazuschyk and his wife Deborah of Franklin. She was the mother of the late Carol Ann Trehy.

She is also survived by her son-in-law Garrett Trehy of South Carolina and her 11 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

Irene was the sister of the late Stanley, Henry, John, Thomas, Edward, Robert, Albert, Leo, Helen, Mary and Sophie.

Her funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, August 7 in St. Mary’s Church, Franklin at 11:00 a.m.
Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

Visitation will be on Monday from 9:00-10:30 am, in the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 131 Main Street, Franklin.
