In Taunton, July 31, 2017 Joseph F. Johnson beloved husband of Ann (Walsh) Johnson died suddenly at home at the age of 87. Born in Taunton, Joseph was the son of the late Joseph and Fanchon (O’Boy) Johnson. He was a graduate of Msgr Coyle High School class of 1948. After graduation Joseph joined into the US Marine Corps in 1950. He was a retired Sales Representative for New England Telephone. He was a former member of the Knights of Columbus, Italian Club in Taunton and the New England Telephone Pioneers. Joe was an avid Patriots fan and a fan of all Boston sports especially watching his grandchildren playing. Joseph was the loving father of Catherine Henault and her husband Richard of East Taunton, Maureen Sera and her husband Peter of Bridgewater, Joseph Johnson and his wife Deborah of South Easton and Brian Johnson and his wife Pauline of East Freetown. Grandfather of Stephanie Peryea, Ryan, Melissa and Alex Henault, Cameron, Olivia, Leah and Connor Johnson. Great grandfather of eight great grandchildren. Brother of Anne O’Neil of Taunton and the late Marion Eagan, Carolyn Thompson and Richard Johnson. Uncle of many nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held at the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home 70 Washington Street in Taunton Friday August 4th from 9:30- 10:45 am followed by a Mass of Christian burial at Holy Family Church in East Taunton at 11:45 am. Interment will be at St Francis Cemetery in Taunton. In lieu of flowers donations in Joseph’s memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
