George D. Kapalis, age 73, of Framingham, died on Saturday, July 29, 2017, at his home, surrounded by his loving and caring family.
Born in Rhodes, Greece, he was the son of the late Demetrios & Styliani (Karagiannis) Kapalis. George proudly served in the Greek Navy in the Merchant Marines. For 35 years, he owned and operated George's Service Station in Framingham, where he also worked as a dedicated automotive mechanic. George loved bowling, playing darts and pool and was very passionate for Greek dancing.
George was the beloved husband of Cheryl (Menard) Kapalis for 36 years; loving father of Dimitri Kapalis of Framingham and Stella Nguyen & her husband Joe of Framingham; dear brother of Konstantina Diakogiannis of Greece, Emmanuel (Mike) D. Kapalis & his wife Gloria of Wellesley and Stathis D. Kapalis & his wife Filitsa of Natick. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held at Saint Demetrios Church, 57 Brown Street, Weston, on Thursday, August 3, 2017, at 10:00 AM.
Interment will follow at Saint Stephen's Cemetery, Framingham.
