Cathleen M. (McCaffrey) Velora, age 92 of Taunton, formerly of Seekonk, passed away on July 30, 2017 at Longmeadow of Taunton.
She was the beloved wife of the late Albert Velora.
Cathleen was born in Taunton, a daughter of the late William F. and Anna Mae (Kevican) McCaffrey, Sr.
Before retirement, Mrs. Velora was employed as a secretary with Amica Insurance for over 30 years. She was a 1942 graduate of Taunton High School and a graduate of Fisher College. She enjoyed knitting, travelling and vacationing on Cape Cod.
Mrs. Velora is survived by her brother William F. McCaffrey, Jr. of Taunton, a Nephew Matthew J. McCaffrey , and two nieces, Susan E. North and Lynne A. Delisle. She was also the sister in law of the late Barbara M. McCaffrey.
Cathleen’s funeral with visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at 8:45 am from the Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway, Taunton, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. Mary’s Church, Broadway, Taunton. Interment will follow in Saint Francis Cemetery Glebe St., Taunton.
