SUDBURY, MA: Martha J. (Osepowicz) Spokowski, 89, died on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at Wingate at Sudbury.
She was born in Hatfield, MA on February 16, 1928, the daughter of the late Joseph Osepowicz and Helen (Czachorowski) Osepowicz.
For 65 years Martha was married to the late Walter Spokowski who died on January 10, 2015.
Mother of Philip A. Spokowski and his wife Nancy Spokowski of North Venice, FL; David C. Spokowski and his wife Linda Spokowski of New York, NY; Walter S. Spokowski and his domestic partner Janice M. Grassia of Boston and Falmouth, MA; and Steven W. Spokowski of Hudson, MA. Grandmother of Emily J. Spokowski of Woodside, NY and Samuel W. Spokowski of St. Paul, MN. Sister of Nellie Osepowicz of Hatfield, MA and Marian Shea of Northampton, MA. She was predeceased by her siblings John, Joseph, Leon, Edward and Anthony Osepowicz, Margaret Andrus, Agnes Lipinski, Josephine Osepowicz, and Jennie Korza. She was also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Martha spent her formative years in Hatfield and Northampton and graduated from Smith Academy in Hatfield. Prior to residing in Sudbury she and her husband lived in Framingham for over ten years after raising their four boys in Wayland where they were residents for 41 years.
For many years, Martha worked as an administrative assistant at several banking institutions and at Wayland High School prior to her retirement. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Private family services will be held and interment will be in the Spokowski family plot in Lakeview Cemetery, Wayland, MA.
