Eve Tyson Longstreet, 68, of Tifton passed away Thursday, July 27, 2017, at her residence. A Celebration of Life Service will be held for Mrs. Longstreet at 1:00 p.m. Monday, July 31, 2017, at her residence at 41 Johnson Lane in Tifton.
Born October 14, 1948 in Tifton, Mrs. Longstreet was the daughter of the late Edward Tyson and Jewel Simmons Tyson. She was also preceded in death by five sisters. She was a retired registered nurse.
Mrs. Longstreet is survived by her husband Frederick “Jim” Longstreet of Tifton; five sons and four daughters-in-law, Lee and Brenda Jones of Tifton, Tim and Zoe Jones of Warner Robins, Matt Jones of Jacksonville, Florida, Chris and Anna Slaymaker of Tifton and Frank and Candace Rich of Norfolk, Virginia; one brother, Johnny Tyson of Valdosta; twelve grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
