Roland J. Arsenault, Sr., 93, of Milan, NH, passed away on Tuesday July 25, 2017 at the Coos County Nursing Home. He was born in Berlin on July 4, 1924 the son of Joseph and Julia (Peters) Arsenault and was a lifelong resident of the Berlin-Milan area. He graduated from Hesser College and was a US Navy Veteran. Roland had been employed by Brown Company for 35 years and had been a Past Director and Past President of the Androscoggin Valley Fish & Game Association where he had received the Sportsman of the Year Award. He was a founding member of the Office Workers Union at Brown Company, was involved with youth hockey, was an avid fisherman, hunter and enjoyed music and could play any instrument.
Family includes his daughters Susan (Arsenault) Hickey of Berlin, NH and Paula (Arsenault) Blais and husband Roger of Merrimack, NH; son Roland J. Arsenault, Jr. and wife Judy of Milan, NH; 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife Carmel (Napert) Arsenault, his daughter Lucie (Arsenault) Berntsen and 6 siblings.
Graveside Services will be held on Saturday August 12, 2017 at 11 AM at St. Kieran Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Ave., Berlin, on Sunday July 30, 2017 from 4-8 PM.
