Obituary

Nancy Tardif, 45, of Hudson, NH, was called to Heaven suddenly and unexpectedly on July 24, 2017. Beloved by family and friends alike, she will be greatly missed. Every day.

Nancy dedicated her life to her family and was fiercely proud of her two daughters, Kayla and Amanda. Her girls take after her in many ways, including her work ethic and dedication. Kayla knows the value of a day of hard honest work and is an employee any company would be lucky to have. Amanda channeled her efforts into basketball, earning herself scholarships to Proctor Academy in Andover, NH, and the University of New Hampshire where she will be playing Division I basketball this coming school year. Her mother will be in the stands in spirit for every game.

Nancy’s love of family extended to her nieces and nephews. She would often be found in the bleachers or on the sidelines at any number of hockey, lacrosse, and soccer games, or taking in a dance recital or gymnastics meet. Many times at more than one of these events on the same day. When not busy with her family, it was a good bet that you could find Nancy curled up on her couch laughing at inappropriate moments in a movie or watching television shows of dubious quality. She always knew who did it on Murder, She Wrote. She was also known to attend a concert every now and then, usually a boy band from the 90s with her closest friend, Vanessa Fisher; more sister than friend.

Nancy is survived by her husband in every way that matters of 25 years, Ceferino Torres, and her daughters Kayla and Amanda Torres, her parents; Gaston and Noelline (Dupuis) Tardif and her grandmother Maguerite Dupuis of Quebec, Canada. She is also survived by her two younger brothers; Shawn Tardif and his wife Stacey of Methuen, MA, and Keith Tardif and his wife Dori of Salem, NH, and her nieces and nephews; Rory, Mathieu, Camille, Alexandre, and Sophia Tardif. Nancy is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins that reach from Florida to Ohio to Canada.

Visitation will be held on July 28, 2017 from 3:00-8:00 pm at Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence Street in Methuen. A funeral service will be held on July 29, 2017 at 11:00 am at Saint Monica Church, 212 Lawrence Street in Methuen. Interment to follow at Immaculate Conception Mausoleum, 29 Barker Street in Lawrence. For directions and online guestbook, please visit the funeral home website, www.pollardfuneralhome.com.
