Obituary

Barbara A. (Chisholm) Casey, 89 of Natick, died Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at the Metro West Medical Center in Framingham. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph P. Casey who died in 1996.

A Natick resident for 65 years, she was born in Wellesley the daughter of the late Allan and Mary (McDonald) Chisholm.

Mrs. Casey worked for 40 years with her husband and family at Casey’s Dinner in downtown Natick, which is Registered as a National Historic Site. She was an integral part of the personality that has welcomed generations of loyal customers since 1922. Barbara provided her own quick wit and friendly humor, along with the speedy service needed during the well-known busy lunch times with lines of customers out the doors and waiting at the takeout window.

As with all in the Casey family, she was an ardent supporter of Natick High School sports teams, as well as numerous local charities. She enjoyed travel, summers in Wells Beach, Maine and cherished the time spent with her family and especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by one son Allan Casey of Natick, one daughter Diane Boudreau and her husband Daniel of Natick, grandchildren Patrick Casey and his wife Lynne of Ashland, Casey Boudreau and her fiancé Michael Custer, Shannon Boudreau and her wife Amelia of Framingham, great- grandchildren Michelle and her husband Zachery Wall, Anna and Ella Casey, Peter Boudreau, and one great-great grandchild Eli Wall, daughter in law Janet Casey of Natick, two brothers Richard Chisholm of Wellesley, Lawrence Chisholm of Melbourne FL., and her unofficial grandson Cooper Newfield, along with her many nieces and nephews.

She was also the mother of the late Frederick P. Casey, Peter Casey and grandmother of the late Michael Casey, and sister of the late Allan Chisholm.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Service on Monday, July 31 at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel of the John Everett and Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Street, at Natick Common. Burial will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery. Visiting hours are Sunday from 3:00 to 6:00 P.M.

Expressions of sympathy may be made in her memory to The Natick Athletic Department and Beth Israel Deaconess, Medical Center Transplant Unit in the honor of her son Allan Casey.
