Obituary

Amonia Valbrun, 86, of Derry, NH, died Friday July 21, 2017, in Aurora Senior Living, Derry, NH. Born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti on March 14, 1931 to Jean Pierre and Adeline Valbrun, Amonia enjoyed all learning activities and taught herself English, then self-prepared for her citizenship test at an old age. She also enjoyed sewing, traveling on her own and quality time in NJ with her sister Alida.

Amonia is survived by her five children (her three daughters, Immacula Mireille Michel Jean-Baptiste wife of Linne Jean-Baptiste, Lucienne Michel DeMeo wife of Paul D. DeMeo, and Sonia Baker Petit Val wife of Luckner Petit Val; her two sons, Marc-Arthur Baker, Leonard Michel); her sixteen grandchildren, Jethro Jean-Baptiste, Daniel L. Jean-Baptiste, Marie Emmanuel J. Augustin, Nathen A. DeMeo, Pascal J. DeMeo, Danya A. DeMeo, Gemima Petit Val, Jerry Michel, Stephanie Michel, Samantha R. Michel, Loudemia Michel, Sarafina Michel, Stevenson L. Michel, Marc Lane Baker, Denilson Baker, Isaac Baker; her twelve great grandchildren Cedrik and Christian Jean-Baptiste, Dayannah, Kayla, Carl and Victoria Jean-Baptiste, Ethan and Rafael Augustin, Steph-Ernstia Maelys Jean-Baptiste, Rosalola, Jaymie Laetitia and Mathis Leny Michel, and many nieces and nephews from the Apollon and Valbrun families. Amonia is predeceased by her sister, Alida (Valbrun) Apollon, her brother, Jesner Valbrun and her grandson Paul Michel DeMeo.

Calling hours were held on Friday, August 4, 2017 from 5 pm to 8 pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. Funeral services were held on Saturday at 11:00 am in the funeral home. The burial followed in Forest Hill Cemetery, E. Derry Rd., E. Derry.
