KALLESTAD – MELODY LUCINDA Melody Lucinda Kallestad, infant daughter of Daniel and Stephanie Kallestad, was stillborn on Friday, July 21, 2017, at Woodwinds Health Campus, Woodbury, MN. Melody was able to be cradled in the loving arms of her parents and extended family. Her middle name is in honor of her mom's special aunt Lucinda LaVoie, who preceded Melody in death in 2007. Melody was also preceded in death by her great-grandparents Herbert and Ruby Kallestad, Lawrence Shepard, Elwin and Thelma Labrenz, and Arnold and Florabelle Larson. Melody is survived by her parents Daniel and Stephanie Kallestad, big brother Joseph Kallestad, aunt Joy Kallestad, grandparents Wayne and Kathie Kallestad, and Stanley and Arlene Larson, great-grandmother Iris Shepard, and many more loving relatives. Funeral services for Melody will be held at 10AM, July 26th, 2017 at Sandberg Funeral Home, 2593 E 7th Ave, North Saint Paul, MN. A burial service will take place at 2PM, July 29th, at the Oxford Village Cemetery in Oxford, WI. The cemetery is located a half-mile north of Oxford on County Road A. The family would like to thank the nurses and nurse-midwives at Woodwinds for their wonderful care and support as well as Halos of the St. Croix Valley. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting a donation to Halos of the St. Croix Valley, in memory of Melody Lucinda Kallestad.
