Obituary

Worcester – Frank J. Saulnier, 88, of Charlton and formerly of Worcester, 88, died peacefully at home with his family by his side on Saturday, July 22.

Mr. Saulnier was married for 62 years to the late Theresa M. (Bourque) Saulnier who died in 2013. He is survived by a son, Gerry Saulnier and his wife Debbie of Worcester; four daughters, Annette Frissora of Worcester, Diane Reilly and her husband Frank of Charlton, Cathy Saulnier of Worcester and Doreen Saulnier and her fiancé D. Gossler of Worcester; 7 brothers and sisters, Emery Saulnier and his wife, May of Dieppe, New Brunswick, Irene Theriault of Missisauga, Ontario, Donald Saulnier and his wife, Jeanine of Dieppe, New Brunswick, Alcide Saulnier and his wife, Barb of Mississauga, Ontario, Rev. Alfred Saulnier and his wife, Bertine Saulnier of Bowmanville, Ontario, Doreen Cormier-Daigle of Moncton, New Brunswick and Jeanine Cormier-Greene of Mississauga, Ontario; 12 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren and many nephews and nieces.

Frank was born in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada son of the late Max and Delina (Voutour) Saulnier and is also predeceased by a son in law, Edward Frissora who died in 2013 and 4 brothers and sisters, Corrine LeBlanc, Doris Melanson, Roger Saulnier and Jean Paul Saulnier.

He was a member of the Leicester Knights of Columbus, Our Lady of Loreto Church, previously belonged to Holy Name of Jesus Church and volunteered for PeeWee Hockey for many years. Frank was a dedicated family man and took great pride in coaching area youth in his favorite sport, hockey. Mr. Saulnier was an avid sports fan and enjoyed working around his yard and his house, but he was happiest when he was spending time with his family.

The funeral will be held on Wednesday, July 26th from the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home 12 Hammond Street with a Mass at 10 AM in Our Lady of Loreto Church 33 Massasoit Road. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects from 4 to 7 PM in the funeral home on Tuesday, July 25th. Memorial contributions in memory of Frank may be made to the American Cancer Society 30 Speen Street Framingham, MA 01701.
