TEWKSBURY: Mary Ann (Kasprzak) Murphy, age 68, a devout Catholic, and resident of Tewksbury for 35 years, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Saturday, July 22, 2017.

She was the beloved wife of Girard J. Murphy who passed away on January 21, 2006.

Born in Boston on April 15, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Bronislaw Kasprzak and the late Julia (Dowhanczuk) Kasprzak.

Mary Ann was raised in the Mission Hill area of Boston, and graduated from Mission Hill High School.

She was employed in the Accounting Department for Charles River Labs in Wilmington for the past 9 years.

Mary Ann attended Mass at St. Dorothy’s Church in Wilmington and St. William’s Church in Tewksbury.

According to her family, her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her grandchildren and the companionship of her dog “Murph”.

She is survived by her children, Deborah A. Currie of Tewksbury, Pam A. Murphy of North Reading, Susan M. Golini and her husband Michael of Tewksbury, and Jerry Murphy and his wife Sara of North Andover; ten grandchildren, Nikki Mahoney and her husband Sean, Joe Pondelli, Mike, Haley and Kelly Golini, Tyler and Jamie Currie, Megan, Julia, and Allison Murphy; one great granddaughter, Hayden Mahoney; two brothers, Richard Kasprzak and his wife Mary Ann of Hampton Falls, NH, and Steven J. Kasprzak and his wife Carol of Watertown; her sister-in-law, Margaret Kasprzak of Palmyra, ME; her brother-in-law, Robert Murphy and his wife Michele of Framingham; her very dear friend Andrea; also many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Mary Ann was the sister of the late Adam Kasprzak, Robert Kasprzak and his late wife Patricia, and sister-in-law of the late Pam and Walter Sullivan.

Calling hours are Tuesday, July 25, from 4-8 p.m. at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee St., Tewksbury. Her funeral will begin on Wednesday, July 26, at 9 a.m. at the funeral home, followed by her Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at St. William’s Church, 1351 Main St., Rte. 38, Tewksbury. Interment at Tewksbury Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the M.S.P.C.A- Nevins Farm, 400 Broadway, Methuen, MA 01844.
