In Boston, July 20, 2017 James D. McCloskey, passed away unexpectedly in Brigham & Women’s Hospital. James was preceded in death by his wife Judith B. (Bryce) McCloskey. He was born in Boston, the son of the late Stephen E. & Helen (Kurek) McCloskey. James had resided in East Taunton since the 1990’s and was formerly of Boston. He was educated in Boston schools and was employed as an assessor for the Commonwealth of MA. James enjoyed boating, his dogs and spending time with his family and friends. James is survived by his step children Graham Shearstone of Fort Myers, FL and Lori Walsh of East Taunton, his sister Ellen Barnes and her husband John of Chevy Chase, Maryland and many friends. A graveside service will be held at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Taunton on Wednesday, July 26th at 11 am. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. Arrangements are under the direction of the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home in Taunton, MA.
