Bruce A. Bouchard, 68, of Smithfield, died Friday at RI Hospital in Providence surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Providence, a son of the late Armand and Phyllis (Salois) Bouchard.
He was an Army Veteran who had served in Vietnam. He was also Firefighter with the Smithfield Fire Department for 31 years. He was known for his love of the game of golf, taking his dog Kingsley for rides and spending time with his family and friends.
He leaves his children, Melissa DiGregorio and her husband Tony of Johnston, Matthew Bouchard and his wife Lindsey of Swansea, MA and Jennifer Bouchard and her fiancé Damien D’Allesandro of Chepachet, grandfather of Abigail, Dante, Mia and Siena, his long time companion Helen Richard and brother of Linda Bouchard of Coventry. He was the brother of the late Marilyn Lambert.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday at 9:30am in St. Philip Church, 622 Putnam Pike, Greenville. Visitation Monday 4-8pm in the Anderson-Winfield Home, Greenville. Burial with Military Honors in RI Veteran’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to VVA – Vietnam Veteran’s of America, 8719 Colesville Road, Silver Spring, MD 20910
