Barbara A. (Arcaro) Meyer 80, of Franklin, died peacefully, with family at her side, Friday July 21, 2017 at Hope Hospice & Palliative Care in Providence, Rhode Island following an illness. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert T. Meyer, who died in 2003.
Born June 8, 1937 in Franklin, the daughter of the late Albert J. and Susan T. (Diomedes) Arcaro, she was a long time Franklin resident.
She was raised and educated in Franklin and was a member of the Franklin High School Class of 1955. Until her retirement several years ago, Barbara worked in the manufacturing department at the Gloucester Company in Franklin.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, playing cribbage, listening to the Il Volo Italian Tenor group, cooking, and having the Christmas holiday at her daughter’s home.
Barbara is survived by her children, Susan E. Groome and her husband Paul of Woonsocket, Robert A. Meyer of North Attleboro, James F. Meyer of Coventry, Connecticut, her grandchildren, Matthew D.R. Groome of Woonsocket, Scott M. Groome of Franklin, Michael P. Groome of Seattle, Washington, a great granddaughter Melody A. Groome and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service Friday July 28th, at 12PM in the Charles F. Oteri and Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
