Thomas Kent Covington, Jr., age 67, of Clarksville, Va passed away on Tuesday, July 18, 2017. He was born on December 15, 1949 in South Boston, Va to the late Thomas Kent Covington and Doris Nichols Covington.
Mr. Covington was a Master Trooper with the Virginia State Police for 27 years and a member of Bethany Baptist Church.
He was predeceased by his parents and two brothers, Dean Bruno and Jimmy Covington.
He is survived by his wife, Deborah Covington; two daughters, Christy Covington Elliott (Bane) of Nelson, Va and Laura Elizabeth Covington (Lynn) of Oxford, NC; one son, Mark Anthony Covington of Oxford, NC; three grandchildren, Megan Shonyo, Matthew Elliott and Haley Elliott; and three beloved fur babies, Abby, Lola and Sheena.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, July 21, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Pleasant Grove Christian Church Cemetery in Halifax, Va with Rev. Ronnie Campbell officiating and Virginia State Police Honors.
