CARNEY, Shirley Evelyn (Basham), 92, of Louisville, passed away Tuesday, July 18, 2017 in Greencastle, IN.
Shirley was a retired cosmetologist and a member of Jeffersontown Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Morris B. Carney, Jr.; her sister, Irene Nalley; and sons, Bob and Jim Carney.
Shirley is survived by her children, Betty Eaton (Rex) and Derrel Carney (Sarah); grandchildren, Morissa Costanza, Beth Smith, Janet Mellinger, Andy Dickey, Susan Hall, J.T. Carney, Jessica Carney, Sam Carney, Mo Carney, and Liza Carney; 20 great grandchildren; and 7 great great grandchildren.
Visitation will be 10:30am-1:30pm Friday at Owen Funeral Home – Jeffersontown, 9318 Taylorsville Road, with service to follow at 1:30pm. Interment will follow at Highland Memory Gardens in Mt. Washington, KY.
