Obituary

Albert F. Moriggi, 87, of Medway formerly of Holliston, died July 15 in Milford Regional Medical Center. He was the husband of the late Joan (Codyer) Moriggi, who died in 1985.

Born in Waltham, September 14, 1929, the son of the late Antonio and Albina (D’Antonio) Moriggi, Mr. Moriggi was raised in Watertown and had lived in Franklin for many years before moving to Holliston.

He had been a machinist for the Thermo Electron Company in Waltham for many years, prior to his retirement in 1992.

A Navy veteran of the Korean War, he attained the rank of Yeoman 2nd Class. He was a member of the V.F. W.

In his younger years, Albert enjoyed bowling and was an avid golfer, participating in local golf leagues and tournaments.

He is survived by his six children, Stephen Moriggi of Franklin, Philip Moriggi of Blackstone, Thomas Moriggi of Gainesville, Florida, Paul Moriggi of Manassas, Virginia, Janice Courtois of Franklin, and Diane Lucas of Medway. He is also survived by his sister Eleanor DeBarros of Burlington and his five grandchildren.

Albert was predeceased by his brother, Louie, and two sisters, Theresa and Esther.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, July 28 in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Marlborough at 11:00a.m.
