John R. Barletta passed away peacefully at home on July 19, 2017, surrounded by his loving family. He was 74 years old.
John grew up in Medford and was a longtime resident of Everett and Malden. He was a member of the Sons of Italy in Medford and an avid poker player.
John was the longtime partner of Barbara McSwain. He was the beloved father of Michelle Stone of Brookline, NH and her late husband Scott, Christine O’Brien of Conroe, TX and her late husband Michael, John J. Barletta, and Susan Leary and her husband Michael of Nashua, NH. John was the loving cousin of Terry Scrima of Revere. He was the cherished grandfather of Briana Stone, Michael and Tyler O’Brien, Gianni and Caterina Barletta, and Alyssa Leary.
Visiting hours will be held from the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home 865 Main Street, Malden on Friday July 21st from 3-7pm. A service will be held at 6:30pm during the visitation. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Interment will be private.
