Chad Giddens, 47, of Tifton passed away Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at Tift Regional Medical Center.
Born on October 23, 1969 in Tifton to the late Theodore Rex Giddens and Nancy Karmen Summers Giddens he was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Tift, County. Chad served his country with honor in the United States Army where he served as a Paratrooper. He was also a former sales representative for Southern Eagle.
He is survived by his mother, Karmen Summers Giddens of Tifton; sons, Cyrus Rex Giddens of Tifton and Cameron Burch Swilley of Cordele; daughter, Brilynn Summers Giddens of St. Simons, Georgia; brother, Ryan Giddens of Tifton; grandmother, Bobbie Summers of Tifton; niece, Maggie Giddens; nephew, Chandler Giddens; the mothers of his children, Lynn Swilley, Stacey Bailey and Brittney Bryant. Many other aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family also survive.
He was preceded in death by his sister, April Kay Giddens maternal grandfather C. R. Summers; paternal grandparents, Bill Giddens and Mae Pearl Giddens.
Memorial services will be held at 5:00 PM Thursday, July 20, 2017 at New Prospect Freewill Baptist Church. The family will greet friends immediately following the service.
