Glynette Story Reid, 87, of Ashburn passed away Monday, July 17, 2017 at Tift Regional Medical Center.
She was born January 15, 1930 in Turner County. She was the daughter of the late Glenn M. and Pauline Howell Story and the wife of the late Hoyt W. Reid. She lived most of her life in the Amboy community and was a long time member of Amboy Baptist Church. She loved her family and especially cooking her special dishes for them.
She is survived by her son, Wray M. (Paula) Reid of Ashburn; daughter, Elaine R. (Harold) Worley of Cordele; sisters, Betty S. (J. Lindon) Bryant of Lilburn and Lydia S. (Harold) Edwards of Americus; grandchildren, Paul Reid, Tyler Reid, Leigh R. McCard, Philip Worley and Gina Worley; great-grandchildren, Ansleigh Worley, Reid McCard, Emma McCard, Lane Reid, Wraylan Reid, and Adalynn Rose Reid.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at Perry Funeral Chapel with interment to follow in Oklahoma Cemetery. The family will greet friends Tuesday, July 18, 2017 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
