WARE: Donald H. Johnson, Jr., 75, of Malboeuf Road died Friday, July 14 in Harrington Memorial Hospital after an illness.
He leaves two sons; Donald H. Johnson, III and his wife Laura of Sturbridge and Dwayne H. Johnson of Brookfield, a daughter; Donna L. Sweeney and her husband Marty of Ware, two brothers; Edward Ashworth of Spencer and Pete Johnson of Oxford, a sister; Jacqueline Fyrberg of Spencer, 7 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by brothers Gerald & Richard Johnson and a sister Ethelyn Johnson.
Mr. Johnson was born in Vinalhaven, Maine son of, Donald H. and Evelyn (Kay) Johnson. He was a machinist at Quabin Industries before retiring. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was always happiest when spending time with his family. The family would like to thank the staff at Southbridge Rehabilitation for their compassionate care and also the ICU staff at Harrington Memorial Hospital for their kindness.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, July 22 at 11:00 AM in MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main Street, Leicester. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. A calling hour will precede the funeral from 10:00-11:00 AM in the funeral home.
