Marie S. Worley, 91 of Dandridge, Tennessee, formerly of Tifton, passed away Saturday, July 8, 2017 at Parkwest Medical Center in Knoxville, Tennessee. . A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 22, 2017, in Omega Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest. Dr. Wayne Roe will officiate.
Mrs. Worley was the daughter of the late Henry Sumner and Evelyn Stonecipher Sumner. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Troy D. Worley; four sisters, Agnes Shellhorse, Betty Lanpher, Carolyn Womack, Virginia Womack; and one brother, Everette Sumner. Marie was a member of the Tifton’s First Baptist Church and the First Baptist Church of Dandridge, where she was active in her Sunday School Class. She was also a member of the Dandridge Garden Club, Dandridge Senior Citizens and the Jefferson Co. FCE.
Mrs. Worley is survived by her children and their spouses, Debra and Thad Epps and Kenneth Worley; her grandchildren, Sandi Key, Erik Worley and Rose Worley; her great-granddaughter, Rhylie Key; one brother, Carlton Sumner; several nieces, nephews and many special friends and her church family.
