Duncan A. Davis, 67

Dateline: Taunton, MA

Duncan A. Davis, age 67, of Taunton, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 16, 2017 at Longmeadow of Taunton.

Born in Oceanside, New York on December10, 1949, he was a son of the late Gordon A. and Virginia E. (Kitchen) Davis.

During the Vietnam War, he proudly served his country as a member of the United States Marine Corps. He was a recipient of the National Defense Service Medal and was honorably discharged from active duty, on February 12, 1970 with the rank of Lance Corporal. Upon returning to civilian life he returned to school, earning his Bachelors Degree from the University of Massachusetts.

Duncan had made his home in Taunton for the past twenty years and had previously been employed as a machine operator at Hobbycrafter in Attleboro. When able, he enjoyed traveling.

He is survived by his brother Stephen Davis of Amherst, Ohio, as well the friends he made throughout the years living in Taunton community.

Services, along with burial at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne will be private. Visiting hours have been omitted.
