Obituary

Sara E. LeClair, 33, of Derry, NH, passed away on Thursday July 13, 2017, in Derry. She was born in Boston, MA on September 21, 1983, a daughter of Mary LeClair and Michael Lovy. Sara graduated from Macintosh College with an Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice. Her dream was to work in the Juvenile probation department. She volunteered for battered women, often spending her weekends at the hospital holding someone’s hand. She enjoyed instructing her painting class for her recovery program. Sara was a lifelong Girl Scout. She considered herself a star and to her family and friends she was the star that will always shine bright in their eyes.

She is survived by her mother, Mary LeClair, father, Michael Lovy and wife Marie, her sisters, Molly and Heather Lovy, paternal grandparents, Michael and Shirley Lovy; her aunt and “godmudder” Alice Delaney, aunts and uncles, Patricia and Todd Arsenault, Andrew and Lynda LeClair, Terese and Barry Terrell, Thomas and Robin LeClair and Thomas and Anh Lovy; Beloved dog, Tully, as well as many other aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her maternal grandparents, Joseph and Patricia “Tish” LeClair.

Following cremation, memorial calling hours were held on Thursday, July 20, 2017 from 4 – 7 pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch Street, Derry. A Celebration of “Star Sara’s” life will be held on Saturday, July 22, 2017 from 12 – 4 pm in the VFW on Railroad Avenue in Derry. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the House of Hope, 812 Merrimack Street, Lowell, MA 01854 or the Friendship Center, 6 Railroad Avenue, Derry, NH 03038.
