Mrs. Jeanne de Chantal (Guillemette) Jacques, 88, of Lawrence, passed away on July 14th at the Merrimack Valley Hospice House in Haverhill. Born on August 21, 1928 in Black Lake Quebec, she is the daughter of the late Alphonse and Laura (LaRochelle) Guillemette. Mrs. Jacques enjoyed playing bingo, word search puzzles, as well as 45's and poker, most of all she loved to cook and spend time with her family. The widow of Adrien Jacques, she is also pre-deceased by her son Yvon Jacques, one grandson James McCann, three sisters; Germaine Blouin of Amqui, Quebec, Rachel Gagnee of Thetford Mines, Quebec, Therese LeClerc of Amqui, Quebec, one brother; Marcel Guillemette of Black Lake, Quebec. Mrs. Jacques is survived by one daughter; Cecile and her husband Maurice Bouchard of Methuen,MA, one son; Carol “CJ” Jacques and his wife Anita of Gardner, MA, one grandson Christopher Bouchard and his wife Jennifer of Goffstown, NH and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday from 8:30 am to 10:30 am at Edgar J. Racicot Inc. Funeral Home, 1400 Broadway Rd. Dracut. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday at 11:00 am at St. Francis Church, Dracut. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery in Methuen.
