Yvonne Ehrhardt Aponte, 39, passed Friday, July 7, 2017, in the company of her loved ones. Yvonne was born on Christmas Eve 1977 in what was then East Germany. She arrived in the United States in 1996 eager for adventure with the hopes of building an American life. She lived and worked in several Massachusetts locations before settling in Worcester to work for a high-tech electronic toll collection company. She achieved 17 years of distinguished service and was the company’s local manager of quality control when illness forced her from the workforce. Yvonne was also a talented student, earning two associates degrees in information technology and nearing completion of a bachelors degree, holding a 4.0 GPA while working full time. She was known for her intelligence, a canny aptitude for business operations and technology, and drive. Yvonne enjoyed trips to the beach, her beloved chocolate "eggies," and ice cream.
Of her German family, Yvonne is predeceased by her father, Horst Ehrhardt. She is survived by her mother Elke, her sister Monique and partner Ruediger and nephew Julian and her maternal grandmother. In Worcester, she leaves her partner and best friend, Arunas Brantas and "nieces" Regina, Leigh, and Gail. She also leaves behind her goddaughter Arabella as well as many friends and beloved coworkers.
