Obituary

Gerard “Jerry” R. Tocci, 63, of Franklin died July 10 after a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease. He was the husband of the late Linda N. (Bergeron) Tocci who died in 2007.

Born in Newton, June 9, 1954, the son of the late Gerard V. and Anne (Proia) Tocci, Jerry was raised in Newton and Natick and had lived in Franklin since 1982.

He was a graduate of Natick High School and had also attended Merrimack College.

Jerry had worked for many years a field service engineer for the Abbott Company. He had previously worked for Baker Diagnostics.

Mr. Tocci served in the Air Force during the late 1970’s attaining the rank of Sergeant.

He had enjoyed skiing and fishing and being a “hockey parent” and a “dance dad”.

He is survived by his children Jared Tocci of Cumberland, Rhode Island, Damien Tocci of Whitinsville and Melony Tocci of Franklin.

He is also survived by his siblings, Anthony Tocci of Potomac, Maryland, Rhonda Tocci of Bellingham, Lori Sears of Bellingham, Maria Spurgeon of Framingham, and Sheila Richard of Northborough.

He is also survived by his granddaughter Macie Tocci.

His funeral will be held on Friday, July 14 from the Ginley Funeral Home (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 131 Main Street, Franklin at 9:15 followed by a funeral mass in St. Mary’s Church at 10:00.
Burial will have been the parish cemetery.

Calling hours will be on Thursday from 4- 8 p.m.
