Denis E. Desjardins, 77, of Westport, passed away on Sunday, July 9, 2017 at Clifton Rehabilitation Nursing Center. He was the son of the late Armand L. and Marguerite J. (Mercier) Desjardins.
Mr. Desjardins was born in Fall River and had resided in Westport since 1956. He was a U.S. Army veteran. Prior to his retirement, he was a general contractor and worked as the owner of Desjardins Building Company.
Survivors include his son: Peter Desjardins and his wife Kate of Bedford, MA; his daughter: Sarah D. Rigoli and her husband Zachary of West Newbury; 3 brothers: Claude Desjardins of Baltimore, MD; Richard Desjardins & Clement Desjardins, both of Westport; 3 sisters: Margot Desjardins of Westport; Louise Desjardins of NY, NY and Frances Desjardins of Providence; 3 grandchildren: Thomas Desjardins, Charles Desjardins & Isaac Rigoli; and several nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial to which relatives and friends are invited will be Thursday, July 13, 2017 at St. Bernadette’s Parish, Fall River at 10:00 A.M.
Visitation will be Thursday at the church, from 9-10 A.M. prior to the Mass.
Interment will be in Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport.
