Alfred was born in Chelsea, MA on February 18, 1927 to his hardworking parents, Stanley and Tessie (Perry) Arsenault. Graduating with the Class of 1945 from Our Lady of Assumption School in Chelsea, he felt the call of duty and service to his country and enlisted in the United States Navy. As a decorated WWII Veteran, Alfred used the principals of leadership, character and integrity he learned while in the service and applied those traits to his life. After his discharge, he married his sweetheart, Marie (Dello Russo) in a simple ceremony in 1951. Alfred and his wife settled in Saugus to raise their family where he lived for many years. He worked at the Barney & Carey Lumber Company in Brookline, MA until his retirement. Alfred had a love for music and showmanship, he formed his own wedding band, Alfred Arsenault and Band. A man who loved simple hobbies, he at one point in time bowled a perfect 400 in candlepin bowling and loved playing his hand at the occasional game of poker. Later in life, Alfred and his wife became snowbirds and settled in Naples, FL for the winter months and loved to travel as well. He touched many lives and will fondly be remembered, loved and missed.

Alfred is survived by his truly devoted wife, with whom they shared 65 years of marriage together, Marie Arsenault of North Andover, MA. He is also survived by his beloved children; his son, Mark of Newburyport, MA, his daughter, Donna Connaughton and her husband Mark of Burlington, MA, his son David and his wife Noriko of Savannah, GA, and his son Steven and his wife Anna of Newbury, MA.
