John R. Hall age 93 of Sharon passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on July 2nd. Born and raised in Adams Tennessee. John served in the Civilian Conservation Corp (CCC) prior to WWII. He served in US Navy during WWII, Petty Officer Hall continued his service in the Naval Reserves after the war. John lived in Florida and Cambridge before moving to Sharon 22 years ago. John worked at Harvard University for many years before his retirement. Mr. Hall was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Somerville and the American Legion Post #19 of Somerville. Beloved husband of 71 years of Anna (Anargeors). Loving father of Elaine Lewis of Somerville, John A. Hall of Somerville and late Donna Hall . Brother of Thomas Hall of Plymouth, Bob Hall of Orlando, FL, and Louise Rohan of Jacksonville, FL and the late Veneta Dawson, William Hall, JW Hall and James Hall. Also survived by his grandson Matthew Lewis, and his great grandchildsons Matthew, Jr and Joe all of CA. Visiting hours in the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home 455 Washington St. Canton Friday 4-8 pm. Funeral Service Saturday morning at 11:00 at the First Baptist Church of Sharon, 2 S. Main St., Sharon. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Interment Knollwood Memorial Park.
