On June 29, 2017 Marion “Marie” Ann Magnusson, age 94, passed away at Future Care Cherrywood in Reisterstown, MD. Marie was born February 2, 1923 in Scranton, PA to Anelia “Nellie” and Alex Woznicki and sister to Stanley. She attended St Peter and Paul Grade School and West Scranton Junior High. Marie worked at the Lackawanna Pants Factory for eight years, she was an avid gardener who enjoyed growing roses and azaleas and also enjoyed cooking and baking many Polish delicacies.
Marie was married to the late James C. Magnusson, Sr. for 57 years, and devoted mother of Patricia and her husband Larry of Illinois, Keith and his wife Sandy of Pikesville, James, Jr and his wife Dee of Pennsylvania, Eric and his wife Denise of Hampstead, and the late Allan. Loving grandmother of three and great grandmother of one.
Friends may call at The Johnson-Fosbrink Funeral Home, P.A. 8521 Loch Raven Blvd. (beltway exit 29-B) on Monday, July 3rd, from 5 to 8 P.M., where a Catholic Prayer Service will be held at 7:30 P.M. Interment in St. Peter & Paul Church Cemetery, Scranton, PA, on Thursday, July 6th at 11 A.M.
