ROGERS, Mildred R. (Collins), of Winthrop, June 27, 2017. Beloved wife of the late Francis J. Rogers. Devoted mother of Kathleen Rogers and her husband Robert Graffam of Wells, ME, Eileen Collins, Francis Rogers and his wife Donna and Stephen Rogers and his wife Kim all of Winthrop. Adored grandmother of Erin Collins, Rebecca, Stephen and Jennifer Rogers. Dear sister of Ann Rogers and her husband Bill of Cotuit, Edward Collins of Melrose and the late Theresa Mahoney and David Collins. Sister-in-law of Katherine McCarron of Melrose and the late Sr. Raynald Rogers-CSJ., Lillian Carroll and Irene Finn. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral from the Maurice W. Kirby Funeral Home 210 Winthrop St. WINTHROP, on Mon, July 3, at 9am. A Funeral Mass will follow in St. John the Evangelist Church-Winthrop at 10am. Relatives and friends are invited. Interment will be in Winthrop Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held in the funeral home on Sun, from 4-8pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be made to Catholic Charities of Boston 275 West Broadway Boston, MA 02127. Mildred lived and grew up in Charlestown and was a graduate of the Jeremiah E. Burke High School. Prior to her retirement, she was employed by the Massachusetts Dept. of Labor where she worked in administration. Mildred was also a member of the Winthrop Senior Center.
