Joseph Lawrence of Framingham died on Tuesday, June 27, at the Oak Knoll Healthcare Center. Born and raised in Somerville, he was the son of the late Joachim and Palmira (Silva) Lawrence. Joseph lived for many years in Medford before moving to Framingham in 1972.
Joseph was the beloved husband of Sylvia (Mutascio) Lawrence, and the devoted father of Jo-Ann Waithe of Millbury, Jon Lawrence and his wife Vilma of Framingham, and Barbie Lawrence and her Fiancee' Wain Chambers of Walpole. He was the loving grandfather of Peter Waithe Jr., Cara Waithe, David, Bryan, and Ashley Lawrence, and the loving great grandfather of Shanice, Jasmine, Ailani and Xavier Waithe. Joseph was the brother of Blanche Lague and her late husband Lionel, and the late Olga Adams. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
A memorial mass will be celebrated in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner St., Medford, at 11 AM on Friday, July 7. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford. Visiting hours have been respectfully omitted.
