Elizabeth A. (Gilmette) Rodrigues, 50, of New Bedford slipped away peacefully at home Monday, June 26, 2017, surrounded by her family.
Born in Guatemala City, Guatemala, daughter of Charles A. and Esperanza (Gonzalez) Gilmette, she lived in New Bedford for most of her life.
She was employed as a Systems Coordinator in the Clinical Engineering Department at Southcoast Hospitals Group.
Elizabeth was adventurous and outgoing and was an avid Dallas Cowboys Fan.
She is survived by her parents; a sister, Susan Netinho and her husband Richard A.; a nephew, Richard J. Netinho; her aunts in Guatemala; and many cousins.
She was predeceased by her brother, Juan Carlos Gilmette.
Her Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, June 29, 2017 at 9 AM at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery. Visiting hours will be on Wednesday, June 28, 2017 from 4-7 PM.
