Mr. F. Lansing Lee, Jr., 85, beloved husband of 66 years to Elizabeth Wilcox Lee, entered into rest on Monday, June 26, 2017.
A memorial service will be held at 12:00 PM on Friday, June 30, 2017 at St. John United Methodist Church with Rev. Gary DeMore and Dr. Jody Alderman officiating. Interment will be private.
Mr. Lee was an active member of St. John UMC serving on several church boards and was a founding member of The Misfits Sunday School Class. He was the past president of ORA with DuPont, past president of the Uptown Kiwanis Club, and a Board Member Emeritus of the Augusta Rescue Mission. Mr. Lee loved golf and served for 34 years as an Official with the Masters Golf Tournament and was a member of the Geezer Golf Group at Forest Hills Golf Club.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Lee is survived by his children, F. Lansing Lee, III (Jeanne Bingham Lee), Battey Wilcox Lee (Betty Kirkland Lee), Mark Anderson Lee, and Susanna Lee Banks (Nathaniel Bostick Banks); his grandchildren, F. Lansing Lee, IV (Julie Jabaley Lee), Morgan Lucille Lee, Battey Wilcox Lee, Jr., Elizabeth Lee Warren (Charles Campbell Warren), Mark Anderson Lee, Jr., Michael Joseph Lee, Nathaniel Bostick Banks, Jr., and Crenshaw Lee Banks; and his two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dr. Frank Lansing Lee and Effie Wells Lee; his brother, Dr. Joseph D. Lee; and his daughter-in-law, Brenda Bevis Lee.
