SOMERSET – Joseph Martin, age 86, passed away on June 25, 2017 at Morton Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of the late Diana (Medeiros) Martin. Born in São Miguel, Açores, he was the son of the late Manuel and Mary Martins. Joseph loved to travel. Most of all he loved spending time with family and friends, especially his grandchildren.
Joseph is survived by his children Renee Bello (husband Leonard) of Sandwhich, MA, Michael Martin (wife Christine) of Fall River and Peter Martin (wife Sheri) of Somerset; many siblings; grandchildren: Coleman, Kaleena, Josie, Laney, Lila, Marc, Kimberly, and Kelly; as well as many great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
His funeral arrangements were under the direction of Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home 1521 N. Main St. Fall River. Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday at St. John of God Church, Somerset at 10:00 A.M. Interment St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Somerset.
