Karleen Harper Paulk, 90, of Irwin County, Georgia, died Monday, June 26, 2017, at her residence.
Funeral services will be held 4 PM, Tuesday, June 27, 2017, at Satilla Baptist Church, in Irwin County, Georgia, with the Rev. William Pope, the Rev. Dan Johnson and the Rev. Craig Barnette officiating. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the sanctuary.
Mrs. Paulk was born November 20, 1926, in Irwin County, Georgia, to the late Gilbert & Alma Mixon Harper. She graduated from Ocilla High School and received an associate’s degree from Albany Business School. Mrs. Paulk worked in accounting for an optometrist in Douglas and later handled the accounting for the family business. She was a member of Satilla Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Linda Kaye Pope & Donald of Irwin County; her son, Howard & Lorraine Paulk of Coffee County; a special daughter, Rosie Gamble; grandchildren: D.A. Pope, Linda & Clyde Thompson, Sherry Pope, and John Paulk and his fiancé Chelsea Jordan; great-grandchildren: Abe Pope, Mason Crosby, Brandi St. John, Brittany St. John, Blake St. John, and Rebecca St. John.
