In Sandwich, June 25, 2017 Socorro Figueroa, Age 63, passed away peacefully in the McCarthy Care Center in Sandwich with her loving family by her side. Socorro was born in Puerto Rico, the daughter of the late Marcelino & Amparo (Ortiz) Figueroa. She had resided in Taunton since 1995 and was formerly of New Britain, CT. Before her illness she worked as a dietary aide. Socorro’s time with her family brought her the greatest joy. She also enjoyed music and dancing. Socorro leaves her two loving daughters Liliana Gonsalez of Taunton and Malinda Cordova of New Britain, CT. She also leaves her grandchildren, Cristina, Alex, Lorenzo, Anisha, Nafia, Juan, Lyzandra, Tyler and also her five great grandchildren. Socorro also leaves her two sisters and two brothers. Funeral home visiting hours will be on Wednesday, June 28th at the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St., Taunton, MA 02780 from 5-7 pm. A funeral home service will be held at 7 pm. Burial is private at the request of the family.
