Lois A. Nelson, 67

Lois A, (Harding) Nelson, age 67, of Pawtucket, RI, formerly of Norwood passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence.

Born in Biddeford, Maine on October 27, 1949, she was a loving daughter of the late Rita (Caron) Padula and James Harding.

Lois grew up and was educated in Biddeford, Maine and Norwood, MA., and was a graduate of Norwood High School. She had made her home in Pawtucket for over thirty years.

Mrs. Nelson had worked in management for the Polaroid Corporation in Norwood and following retirement, worked in management as well at Days Inn in Attleboro.

Lois’s favorite times were those spent with her family. Her hobbies included bowling, of which she was a member of the Polaroid’s bowling league and playing bingo. She was also a former member of the United Church of Norwood.

She is survived by her devoted children Alan D. Nelson, Jr. of Vero Beach, Florida and Liza C. Dello Iacono of Dedham. She was the adoring grandmother of Justin, Michael and Ryan Nelson, and Carmen, III, Kayla, Sarah and Emma Dello Iacono. She was the dear sister of Richard Harding and his wife Eileen of Rochester, Nancy Missett and her husband Jack of Florida, Joan Puzin and her husband Carl of Walpole, Robert Harding the husband of the late Karen of Taunton, June Flynn and her husband Jerry of Ohio, Anne Ubertini and her husband Ron of Texas and the late James Harding. She was the dear stepdaughter of Tony Padula of Franklin, the former wife of Alan D. Nelson, Sr., and is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend a service in celebration of her life on Thursday, June 29th at 7:00 P.M. at the Taunton Funeral Home, 8 Crapo St. (Off Route 140, Tremont St.) Taunton. Burial will be private.

Visitation will be held prior to the services on Thursday, beginning at 5:00 P.M, at the Taunton Funeral Home.
