WAYLAND: Janet (Work) Schmidt, 88, formerly of Setauket, NY died peacefully and comfortably surrounded by her family on June 20, 2017.
Janet was the beloved wife for 65 years of Eldon Schmidt of Wayland. She was the devoted mother of Nancy S. McLaughlin of West Chester, PA, Katherine S. Cromwell and her husband Richard H. Cromwell of Wayland and the late Fredrick E. Schmidt who died in 1982. Also survived by five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, July 1, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the First Parish in Wayland, 50 Cochituate Road, Wayland Centre.
Interment will be held at a later date in Setauket Presbyterian Cemetery in New York.
