Mr. Dagoberto R. Blanco, a resident of Lawrence since 1971 and beloved husband of the late Estilita J. (Lopez) passed away on June 22, 2017. He was 82 years old.
Born in Caibarien, Cuba, he was the beloved son of the late Miguel and Maria (Garcia) Blanco. Mr. Blanco was a Tester for AT&T for many years. In his spare time, he enjoyed cooking, watching the Red Sox and spending time with his family especially, his grandchildren. He was a very social person and loved to talk to anyone about politics. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his loving children; Esther M. and her husband, Larry E. Thatcher of Coventry, Rhode Island and Douglas M. Blanco and his fiance Dawn L. Daneau and their daughter Alexis Daneau, all of Lawrence, siblings; Miguel, Augusto, Ramon and Milagros all of Florida and Carmen of Cuba, sister-in-law; Silvia DelValle of Miami, Florida, grandchildren; Adam and Megan Thatcher, niece; Obdulia Hernandez of Miami, Florida and many other nieces and nephews. His Funeral will be held from the Burke-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 390 North Main Street, Andover, followed by a Mass of Christian burial, celebrated in St. Robert Bellarmine Church, 198 Haggett’s Pond Road, Andover on June 27th, 2017 at 11:00 AM. Relatives and friends are most welcome to attend. Visitation will be held, prior to the service, from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. Interment will be held in the West Parish Garden Cemetery in Andover.
