Robert W. McCarron, of Medford, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 16th at the Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Medford. He was 79.
Born in Boston, he was the son of the late Helen McCarron. After high school, he joined the United States Army and was honorably discharged on May 14, 1966.
Robert was the beloved husband of the late Virginia Mercurio, and the devoted step father of Sandra Smith and her husband Kevin of Tampa, Florida and George Mercurio and his wife Valerie of Naples, Florida. He was the loving step grandfather of Robert, Kimberly, Richard, Kristen and Melanie and the loving step great grandfather of Robbie and Kayla.
A graveside service will be conducted on Monday, June 26th at Holy Cross Cemetery, 175 Broadway, Malden at 10AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
