Obituary

Lucien P. “Lefty” Pelletier, age 93 of Lawrence passed away on June 20, 2017. Lefty was born in Newmarket, NH on June 5, 1924 to the late Hermagile and Eva (LaRoche) Pelletier. Lucien was a proud WWII Veteran. He was the former Vice President of Jo-Gal Shoe Company of Lawrence. Lefty was a member of the Knights of Columbus of Methuen, and he was also a member of the American Legion. His mission in life was to always make time to help others.


Lucien was the beloved husband of Ruth (Winget) Pelletier with whom he shared 72 years of marriage. Lefty was the devoted father of Janice Pelletier, James Pelletier and his wife Barbara, Richard Pelletier and his wife Linda, Joanne Tardugno and her husband Norm, Jeffrey Pelletier, Jon Pelletier and his wife Christine. He was the loving grandfather of 17 and the cherished great-grandfather of 28.

Lefty’s Family would like to extend their appreciation to the staff and volunteers of Merrimack Valley Hospice and the staff at Mary Immaculate Nursing Center. The Family would also like to extend a special thank you to Paul Alex Louis for all of his dedicated care given to Lefty.
