Joseph A. Palino, Jr. age 79, a lifelong resident of Woburn passed away peacefully June 21, 2017, at the Lahey Hospital and Medical Center in Burlington following a short illness. He was the beloved husband of the late Pasqualina "Lena" (DeMango). Born in Woburn he was the son of the late Joseph A. and Alice (Arpino) Palino Sr.
Joseph was a 1957 graduate of Woburn High School. Shortly after high school he entered the United States Navy and honorably served as a Naval Airman from 1957 to 1959. Upon his return home from the service, Joseph began his career as a talented machinist in the automotive industry that last over 40 years prior to his retirement. Joseph had many interest. He was a collector of antique cars and was a member of the Klaxton Antique Auto Club of Dracut. He was an avid coin collector and sportsman and was also a member of the MA Rifle Association where he enjoyed shooting pistols. He also loved the outdoors. However his greatest joy was his family and nothing made him happier than to be surrounded by those he loved.
He is survived by his devoted sons; Michael J. Palino of Woburn, Joseph A. Palino III and his wife Jessica of Billerica. He was the loving grandfather of Ashley McHugh and Alexa Palino. Loving great grandfather of Jack and Madison McHugh. Brother of Dennis Palino and his wife Linda of Woburn, the late Anthony Palino and his surviving wife Susan of Tewksbury. Brother-in-law of Jenny Rosenberger of Somerville, Beatrice DiPiero of Cambridge and Ethel DeMango of Wilmington.
Funeral services will be held from the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Family Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant St., WOBURN Monday, June 26th, at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Anthony Church, 851 Main St., Woburn, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
