In Taunton, June 22, 2017 Mary Lou (Foster) McClellan, passed away at home peacefully with her loving family by her side at the age of 86. Mary was the wife of the late William F. McClellan. She was born in Taunton, the daughter of the late Manuel & Celia (Medeiros) Foster. Mary resided all of her life in Taunton; she was educated in Taunton schools and a graduate of Taunton High School, class of 1949. Mary was employed at the former G.E. / Hercules Company in Taunton. Mary was kind, loving, and charitable. She had a special place in her heart for our veterans. She enjoyed playing bingo, word search, listening to music, going to local casinos and loved being with her family. She cherished the time with her grandchildren, sharing and telling stories with them. She is survived by her children, Colleen Wellman and her husband Frank of Taunton and Michael McClellan of Woods Hole, MA. She also leaves her two loving grandchildren Ryan and Kathryn, several nieces and nephews and her many close friends. A funeral home service will be held at the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St., Taunton, MA 02780 on Tuesday, June 27th at 11 am. Followed by her burial in Bourne National Cemetery in Bourne, MA at 1:15 pm. Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours on Monday from 5-7 pm.
