Obituary

TIFTON – The Rev. Earl Broadway, 98, of Tifton passed away Thursday, June 22, 2017, at his residence. A graveside funeral service will be held for the Rev. Broadway at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 24, 2017, at Mizpah Cemetery in Cairo, where he will be laid to rest. The Rev. Haskell White will officiate. The family will receive friends Friday, June 23, 2017, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.

Born October 24, 1918 in Cairo (Grady County), Rev. Broadway was the son of the late Joe Hill Broadway and Ethel Nesmith Broadway. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Martha Grace White Broadway; one son, Kenneth Broadway; two brothers; and one sister. He was a retired minister of the Nazarene denomination and served in the United States Army during World War II and a member of the 44th Tank Battalion Association.

Rev. Broadway is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Jane Broadway Ledlow and husband Joe Ledlow of Tifton and Faye Broadway Turner Knight and husband Larry Knight of Bridgeboro; five grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; four step great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and one step great-great grandchild.

Flowers will be accepted or memorial gifts may be made to Hospice of Tift Area, P. O. Box 747, Tifton, GA 31793.
